Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to run the Prompt Compass website, respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver working sessions, process and reconcile orders, deliver purchased digital content, provide support and keep the service secure. This may include your name, business name, contact details, the task or service you ask about, agreed scheduling information, limited session notes or action-plan information, delivery email address, checkout and order references, payment status, amount and currency, product version/checksum, digital-content consent record, delivery status and email-provider delivery identifier. Basic technical or security logs may also be generated by the website and hosting service.
Prompt Compass does not store your payment-card details. Card payment information is handled by SumUp.
Why we use your information and our lawful bases
Contract: we use order, booking and delivery information to respond to requested services, arrange and provide agreed working sessions, take or verify payment where applicable, supply the guide and provide related support.
Legal obligation: we may retain transaction and business records where needed for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
Legitimate interests: we may use limited order and technical information to protect the website, prevent fraud or duplicate fulfilment, investigate failures and maintain reliable service. Our legitimate interest is operating secure and dependable Prompt Compass services.
We do not add a checkout email address to unrelated marketing simply because you bought the guide. Marketing would require an appropriate separate basis or consent.
Service providers
We use service providers to run the purchase and delivery flow. These currently include SumUp for hosted payment processing and payment verification, Resend for transactional email delivery, and IONOS for website hosting and order-data storage. They process information only as needed for the services they provide and under their own applicable data-protection obligations and terms.
International transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, the relevant provider is responsible for applying the transfer mechanism and safeguards required for its service under applicable data-protection law. You can contact us if you would like further information about the providers used for your enquiry, booking or order.
How long we keep information
We keep order, payment-verification and delivery records for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil purchases, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Enquiry, booking, session and support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the service, enquiry and any related record-keeping requirement. Technical logs are retained according to operational and security needs and the hosting provider's settings.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing. We will consider the objection in accordance with UK data-protection law.
Complaints
Please contact us first at hello@promptcompass.co.uk if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
